Part I: Full Sentence Theatre

Emily comes into school at pick up time.

Zaki screeches in excitement: "Mama, I wanna open the corn table!"

Emily: "Oh, I don't think we're supposed to open that right now..."

Zaki (resigned): "I need another tractor!"

Part II: Successful Communication

Emily is in another room, and calls to Zaki.

Emily: "Zaki, what are you doing?"

Zaki: "Reading."

Emily: "Reading? Reading what?"

Zaki: "Goodnight Moon".

And when mommy came in to see, he was reading Goodnight Moon to himself.

Part III: Unsucessful Communication

Emily is in another room, and calls to Zaki.

Emily: "Zaki, what are you doing?"

Zaki: "Nothing."

It turns out that this was not entirely true.

Part IV: Herman Hesse

Zaki charges into the room saying "Read a book!"

Emily says , "Ok, what book? Hop on Pop?"

Zaki says, "This book!" and holds up Jonah's copy of Magister Ludi.
