Happy 16 months Zaki!

Zaki was 16 months old on Oct. 1. Here's a story to give you an idea of what's important to Zaki these days. On the very rainy, wet, cold Oct. 1 we happened to go to Barnes and Noble, where Zaki had a great time in the kids' section and netted 3 books (Ferdinand the Bull, Bedtime for Frances, and a beautiful new favorite, The House in the Night). On the way home in the carseat he was saying something to himself over and over. Finally we figured out what it was: "escalator up, escalator down, escalator up, escalator down".
