Start Wearing Purple

For those of you who haven't heard the story, Zaki met a wonderful musician on his way to California. Eugene Hutz Nikolaev is the lead singer in the awesome gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello (and one of the stars in the film Everything is Illuminated) Jonah recognized him in the airport, and we chatted about Roma (Gypsies) on our flight to Chicago. Then, as we all changed terminals in the very cool neon underground passageway (it looks like this, if you don't recall), Nikolaev serenaded Zaki. 

While we rode on the moving walkway and the escalator, Nikolaev strummed his guitar and sang to Zaki in Romani, stopping only when we had to part ways (we to San Francisco, he to Rio). He said "but I didn't finish my song", so we agreed that he would have to finish it one day, when he and Zaki meet again.
