I met Zaki for the first time on June 6 at the Grandparents' Hands-On Get-Acquainted-with-Zaki Weekend in Burlington VT. Zaki is a high-end baby. His ability to eat, sleep, kick, stare, greet his relatives with equanimity, get passed from hand to hand, grow, pee and poop is unparalleled. He is calm and unruffled, with intelligent curious eyes, as he faces this uncertain world, with its tornadoes and faculty meetings. We can learn from his Zen, anxiety-free approach. He is surrounded by as many loving family members as can be imagined in the life of a single baby, to say nothing of FOZ, Friends of Zaki, all of whom he has met and bonded with in the 11 days of his life, and to say nothing of those monumental figures in his life, his wonderful parents. I can say with the sheer objectivity of a grandma, that he is a True New Prince of the Realm! (by SaG)
